Call for Submissions: First National Memorial “Students of the Sun”
🔺 Dedicated to the commemoration of the martyred school students of Minab County
The Iranian Children’s Rights Scientific Association, in cooperation with various cultural and academic institutions, in line with its core mission and in honor of the innocence and memory of the vulnerable children of Minab, invites researchers, artists, students, and school pupils across the country to submit their works to the Secretariat of the Memorial in the following categories:
🏛 Categories of the Memorial
1. Literary Section: “Restless Gazes Toward Minab”
Formats: personal reflections, poetry, short stories, memoir writing
Themes: whispering to empty school desks, in memory of the tulips, maternal narratives, letters to heavenly classmates
2. Artistic Section: “Palm Trees and School Desks”
Formats: painting (free technique), short film (max. 5 minutes), photography series, poster and graphic design
Themes: enduring narratives of Minab, from classrooms to transcendence, depiction of martyrdom in palm groves, the connection between school and battlefield, portraits of innocence
3. Academic Section: “Red Reading of Children’s Rights in the Tragedy of Minab”
Formats: short papers, analytical essays, academic notes
Themes: the right to life, child terrorism, analysis of children’s rights in armed conflicts, protection of the right to education, examination of the humanitarian dimensions of the killing of schoolchildren under international and domestic law
👥 Target Groups
Group A: Children and adolescents (under 18 years old)
Group B: Adults (students, researchers, and artists)
